1. Introduction

Welcome to Portion AI ("the app", "we", "our", "us"), an AI calorie and nutrition tracking app operated by AyushCare+ Studio ("AyushCare+"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Portion AI mobile application and website located at www.portionai.in (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Service Description

Portion AI is an AI-powered application that lets you:

  • Take a photo of a meal and receive an AI estimate of its calories and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat)
  • Save meals to a daily nutrition log
  • Track calories and macros over time

Disclaimer: Portion AI provides estimated nutrition information generated by AI. Estimates may be inaccurate and are intended for general tracking only. Portion AI is not a medical, dietetic, or clinical tool and is not a substitute for professional advice from a qualified dietitian or doctor. Always consult a professional for medical or dietary concerns.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and purchase a subscription. Portion AI is not directed to children under 13.

4. Accounts & Sign-In

Portion AI uses Google Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you sign in with, and for all activity under your Portion AI account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Subscription & Payments

  • Food scanning requires an active subscription, Portion AI Plus, offered monthly (₹399) or yearly (₹2,999).
  • Payments are processed securely via our RBI-compliant payment gateway (Cashfree).
  • A subscription is a prepaid plan that grants access for the selected period (30 days for monthly, 365 days for yearly). It does not auto-renew — you may purchase again to extend access.
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • This is a subscription for software features (AI food scanning) — not payment for any healthcare or dietetic service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the Service or bypass subscription controls
  • Share or resell your account access
  • Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks (including "Portion AI" and "AyushCare+"), and AI configurations within the Service are owned by AyushCare+ Studio. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portion AI and AyushCare+ Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on estimated nutrition values. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madhya Pradesh, India.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
