Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Subscription Plans

Portion AI offers a single subscription, Portion AI Plus, which unlocks AI food scanning:

  • Monthly — ₹399 / month
  • Yearly — ₹2,999 / year

Subscriptions are purchased as one-time payments for a fixed duration (30 days for monthly, 365 days for yearly) via the Cashfree payment gateway. They do not auto-renew.

2. How to Cancel

Because the plan does not auto-renew, there is nothing to stop for future billing. You can still turn off renewal reminders or request account closure via:

  • The Portion AI app — Settings → Subscription
  • The website — www.portionai.in/subscribe
  • Email — send a request to ayushshrivastavayt@gmail.com

3. What Happens After Cancellation

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have paid for
  • Since plans are one-time payments, no further charges are ever made automatically
  • You keep full access to food scanning until the period ends
  • After the period ends, food scanning is paused until you purchase again

4. Refund Policy

Monthly plan:

  • Refund requests made within 48 hours of the payment are eligible for a full refund
  • After 48 hours, the payment is non-refundable

Yearly plan:

  • Refund requests made within 7 days of the payment are eligible for a full refund
  • After 7 days, a pro-rated refund may be issued at our discretion based on unused months

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at ayushshrivastavayt@gmail.com with:

  • The Google account email you signed in with
  • Cashfree order ID or payment ID (if available)
  • Reason for the refund

We process eligible refunds within 5–7 business days, credited to the original payment method.

6. Failed Payments

  • If a payment fails, you can retry by selecting a plan again
  • No charges are made for failed payment attempts
  • Access is granted only after a payment is confirmed

7. No Refund Scenarios

  • Requests made after the refund window above
  • Dissatisfaction with AI estimate accuracy (estimates are approximate by nature and we keep improving them)
  • Violation of our Terms & Conditions leading to account suspension
  • Change of mind after the refund window
